The VL-3 is an ultralight sport aircraft of the latest generation, designed by the brothers Kabrt of Vanessa Air s.r.o., Vysoke Myto, and manufactured by Aveko s.r.o., Brno, Czech Republic.

The VL-3 structure is a combination of composite materials and carbon fibre and kevlar, allowing the VNE safety limit to be set at 300 km/h.

The VL-3 is a three-axis, low wing, tricycle aircraft with two seats side by side and with a basic 80 HP engine, alternatively 100 HP. The performances that follow refer to the larger engine with a difference of approx. 25 to 30 km/h in the max speed, depending on the type of landing gear, fixed (FG) or retractable (RG).

The basic VL-3 is equipped with a fixed gear and in this version reaches a cruising speed of 200 - 220 km/h, a max speed of approx 250 km/h and, compared with the RG version, allows 13 kg more useful load, due to the lower weight of the FG.

In the RG version the VL-3 allows a cruising speed from 210 to 270 km/h and the max speed in horizontal flight is around 280 km/h.

All other performances are identical for both versions FG and RG.

Wings without ribs, the tanks are placed right and left at the root of the wings, basic propeller with fixed pitch, or optional in-flight variable pitch, complete standard instruments, optionals upon request.
